Abadas is a mixed media interactive sound and object association show, which works on different levels for a broad range of pre-school viewers. Co playing, developing intuition and independent thought are elements that underpin the show’s ethos, whilst visual comedy and simple songs are key to its appeal.

Abadas is based in the magical world of a pop-up book where 3 sweet animated animal characters live. Full of natural humour and curiosity, they, like the audience are still at the age where they delight in playing, learning and exploring the world around them. Exploring new words with these three young adventurers it what this series is all about.

We’re introduced to the characters by a young narrator called Ben, who we see at the beginning and close of each episode. In a secret hideaway under Ben’s bed, lies a well-thumbed, well cherished pop-up book.

This is no ordinary pop-up book; This is where the Abadas live: Hari the hipo; Ela the fox and Seren the bat and they’re the most curious, adventurous and funniest pop up animals that any book could possibly have. Once the book is opened the Abadas’ world comes alive, and it’s playtime for the three excited adventurers; their favourite game? It’s the Abadas word game!

Join the Abadas as they try and match a new word with objects found on theAbada Island and have an “aba-doo-be-dee” time in the process!
